Tranmere's latest addition Jonathon Margetts says he is delighted to have joined the Club following a successful trial spell at Prenton Park. The 21 year-old shot to prominence with a four-goal haul in 45 minutes against Vauxhall Motors before scoring the week after against Marine. Back then, he was known as Trialist H, but everyone knows his name now and he has put pen to paper on a one-year deal at Prenton Park after weeks of speculation about his future. "I'm delighted to be here," he said. "It's a massive club. The current position doesn't do it justice in terms of what league it's in. "I've been on trial with a few clubs, but I thought Tranmere was the best option for me and I think I have made the right decision. "Only time will tell, but I'm very happy and I'm enjoying my time here already." Hours after signing his contract to become a Tranmere player, Margetts scored twice against Everton's Under-21 team as Rovers came from a goal down to win 3-1 and the striker hopes those goals are a sign of things to come. "That's what my game is all about, scoring goals. Hopefully this year you'll see a lot more of that and I can help to get the club back to where it belongs, which is in the Football League. "I beat myself up if I don't score in every game; it's the best way to be. I put pressure on myself to score in every game so I'm disappointed if I don't." Margetts also revealed that a former Rovers loanee, who was a former team-mate at Hull City, had a helping hand in the move. "I spoke to Will Aimson - he's a good friend of mine and was really unlucky during his time here - and he sold the club to me and was almost pushing me to sign here!" he said.
