Tranmere Rovers have today appointed Ronnie Moore as First Team Manager until the end of the season after parting company with Les Parry.After becoming Club Physiotherapist in 1993, Parry became Manager in October 2009 and kept the Club in League 1 two years in succession.He guided Tranmere to the top six early this season, however a run of just one win in 20 games followed and the Club is now just two points above the relegation zone.Ronnie Moore returns to Prenton Park as Manager after leaving the Club in 2009, having been within two minutes of achieving a place in the Play Offs in his final season.He has previously managed Rotherham United to two promotions. As a player Ronnie made more than 370 appearances for Tranmere, scoring 86 goals.Kevin Summerfield and John McMahon will remain in their current roles as Assistant Manager and First Team Coach respectively.Chairman, Peter Johnson said: "Parting company with Les was a very difficult decision to make but we have had to act in the best interests of the Club."I'd like to thank Les for excellent service to the Club over many years."I am delighted to be able to bring a Manager with the experience of Ronnie back to the Club until the end of the season. He has a very good track record as a manager at this level and I am confident he will secure our

place in the division."We have three very important home games coming up against Notts County, Leyton Orient and Preston North End and I urge all of our fans to get behind Ronnie and the players and give them their full support."Ronnie Moore said: "It's great to be back, I can't wait to get started."It's nice to have the opportunity to keep the Club in League 1."I'm looking forward to being back at Prenton Park this week, meeting the players and hopefully starting things off with three points against Notts County on Tuesday night."
